As an experienced data and business intelligence professional, Michael Burke has consistently helped banks maximize their reporting analytics by putting critical information and key performance metrics into the hands of strategic decision makers and risk managers.
Currently, a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, Michael has contributed significant value to his department and internal clients. His ability to work with key business and IT stakeholders, develop strategies to deliver critical data and analytics to internal clients, increase operational efficiencies and problem solve complex issues has been the foundation of his success.
Michael started his career working for United Community Bank, where he developed advanced SQL skills, strong knowledge of source data systems, business intelligence reporting and data management. During this time, he worked closely with various LOBs and developed a solid understanding of their data needs and the key metrics driving their business performance. He later joined SunTrust Bank, a super-regional bank, where he gained an understanding of business requirement documentation, project managing, internal controls, and business intelligence reporting within a large financial institution.
In his current role, Michael is responsible for supporting CAO strategic decision makers, building/enhancing new analytics, problem solve complex data issues, streamline processes, solution complex data models, and develops teammates skillsets. His multifaceted skillset allows him to deliver concrete results for his internal clients.
Michael’s leadership qualities start within his department and extend throughout various business lines. He leads by example, coaching and mentoring teammates as they encounter complex problems. He understands that the collective success of each individual contributes to the total success of the organization.
Michael graduated with a BS from Young Harris College in Business and Public Policy. He has obtained advanced Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MSOE) in SQL Server, Azure and Excel. Michael enjoys bike riding.
